Did you wake up to snow this morning?

A snow-ice warning remains in place today, with the warning pertaining to Connaught, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.

Temperatures plummeted overnight, with wintry snow showers mostly affecting parts of west Munster, Connacht and west Ulster.

You probably had to de-ice the car this morning as there was also widespread frost as lowest temperatures ranged from zero to minus three degrees Celsius.

Met Eireann said today (Thursday) will be “another cold day. Sunny generally but scattered showers of rain or hail will affect some western areas with some wintry falls on hills.

“Highest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees with moderate westerly breezes.”

Tomorrow is set to be a little milder with some sunny spells but showery outbreaks, with afternoon temperatures of about 7 to 10 degrees.
