‘Fingermouthing’.
This is the term coined for the latest selfie pose and it looks like it’s going to leave ‘duckface’ trailing behind in its wake.
Kylie Jenner, selfie queen, appears to be one of the original purveyors of ‘finger mouthing’ and chatted about how she used to always cover her mouth during an interview with ELLE UK:
Chatting about how she used to be massively insecure about her lips, the reality TV star said:
“I was so insecure about my lips. Even now I always post photos where my finger is always in front of my mouth…it’s a habit. I would always cover my lips”.
“I couldn’t even talk to people. Or guys. Like, (I’d be thinking): ‘I know you’re looking at my lips, but you so don’t want to kiss me right now.'”
Although the amount of ‘finger mouthing’ poses on Kylie’s profile have declined drastically recently, you can spot the odd one.
Kylie might have been one of the first to get on board with the new ‘duckface’, it’s now taken on a life of its own on social media.
