Music is a very powerful thing. It can remind you of moments in your life. It can make you emotional. And it can apparently put you in the mood and make people more attractive.
A new documentary, called Songs To Have Sex To, claims that certain songs can make you more attractive and (more worryingly) trick the brain into finding others more attractive (something to do with hormones).
As part of the programme, a list of the top 10 songs to make love to was compiled and while some of them are obvious choices, some are a little surprising.
Je T’aime by Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg topped the list, followed by Air’s Sexy Boy and Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It on.
Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood claimed fourth position (not sure we’d relax if that was playing during sexy time) with Moments in Love by Art of Noise in fifth.
Donna Summer’s Love to Love You Baby and Janet Kay’s Silly Games came in sixth and seventh respectively with another Marvin Gaye classic, Sexual Healing, at number eight.
Between the Sheets by The Isley Brothers and Gloria by Patti Smith finished off the collection.
So, if you’re planning on a cosy night in this evening, perhaps a mixed tape is the way to go!
