A Springer Spaniel called Hendrix didn’t just end up in the wrong city after being put on the wrong flight, he ended up in the wrong country on the wrong side of the Atlantic Ocean!
The dog, who was supposed to go from New Jersey to Phoenix this week, was accidentally sent to Ireland by United Airlines.
Hendrix was put on the wrong flight by accident.
Speaking to ABC15 Arizona, Hendrix’s owner Meredith Grant expressed her annoyance at the mix-up: “My dog got sent to frickin’ Ireland… not even he went to Florida, he’s in Ireland.”
She continued: “Obviously they take better care of people’s bags than they do their animals. To them it’s just a dog, what do they care?”
He has now been returned to his owner Meredith.
Hendrix has thankfully been returned to his owner, after spending a full day on a plane, but she isn’t content with a full refund and investigation by the airline company.
Meredith said of the person responsible: “They should not have their job any more. He’s been on a plane for 24 hours.”
