Sometimes we sort of forget how amazing Ireland can be. If anything, this stunning picture from photographer Conor Ledwith makes us realise how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place.
Check out this breath-taking picture which features the Milky Way sparkling over Clydagh Castle on the shores of Lough Corrib in county Galway. We love it!
Conor has posted the picture on his Facebook page in order to celebrate International Dark Sky Week (5-11 April) and to raise awareness about Ireland’s night skies and the steps we can take to help reduce light pollution.
“You can see how bright the horizon appears from the lights of the far shores and the orange lighting reflecting on the low clouds. Wouldn’t be an awful loss if the light pollution worsens to lose that night sky and the Milky Way disappearing from our view?” writes Conor on his Facebook page.
