Strangers come together to give bride a wedding dress after hers was lost in massive Canadian wildfire

Heart-warming stuff.

Cathy Donohue

There are some lovely people in this world.

A massive wildfire is currently raging in FortMcMurray Alberta and thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes.

Elise Boissonneault is due to marry this weekend and she was sent into a massive panic earlier this week when her wedding dress was destroyed, together with the bridal shop where she bought it.

This story shows how the internet can be used for good because it was through social media and the kindness of strangers that Elise received another dress.

Photographer Alex Neary took to Facebook to tell people about Elise’s predicament and she soon began to receive messages from people offering their wedding dresses and business saying they could help.

The below photo shows Alex and Elise at LeaAnn Belter Bridal in Toronto and it is the perfect example of how an image can say a thousand words.

Speaking to CBS News Toronto, Elise explained how she learned that her home had been saved the devastation of the wildfire and that when she returns home, she plans to help people who were not so unfortunate.
