According to METRO, there's a certain condition called toxoplasmosis that people can catch from their cats and kittens. Based on a report, which interviewed 36,5000 respondents in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, people with cats as pets were more likely to have toxoplasmosis (where a person is more inclined to become aroused by fear, danger and submission on a sexual scale). Preference for BDSM, bondage and domination was found the be liked many cat-owners in the survey, and while it's not likely that you'll get a cat and suddenly turn into Anastasia Steele, toxoplasmosis picked up from your cat can also cause behavioural changes and schizophrenia.
