Now more than ever, it’s important to make your home a sanctuary.

We’re spending more time at home in the current circumstances and while it’s far from an ideal situation, it’s important to focus on the positives.

There’s more time and space than ever before and self-care is essential, even simple things like lighting candles and indulging in a face mask can help.

With that in mind, Olivia’s Haven, a new luxury soy candle brand has just launched.

Each scent focuses on her personal scent memories, celebrating special people and places.

The candle comes with a little story explaining the background and purpose for each smell, something Olivia hopes “will make her candles stand out”.

Olivia handpours these stunning soy candles at her home on the North coast of Northern Ireland and currently there are six scents in the line.

Downhill Forest – a woody scent
Eighter Island – fresh sea salt
Tea in the Orangery – a zesty orange scent mixed in with spice from tea
To April –  cherry blossom and spring florals
Irish Fireside – a rich and smoky scent
Potting Shed – herbal scent with tomato leaf

Olivia only recently launched her new business and obviously in the current climate, it’s a tough time to start something new.

However, the marketeer turned candle-maker is determined to keep positive and as you may have noticed on social media, people are using candles as a way of bringing some light to a very difficult situation.

“They say there is never a good time to start a business, but if I had known a global pandemic was coming I don’t think I would ever have started. Now, I am so glad I did as the candles have been very well received.

“I am one of the lucky ones to have an online business which is still open, and people across Ireland and the UK have been using Olivia’s Haven to send a candle along with comforting message to their loved ones. I am delighted to offer a little light during this dark time”.

The candles are priced at £27/€30 and you can check them out here.
