Well, now it looks like shoppers are refusing to choose - if the new trend sweeping the shops is anything to go by.
A survey conducted by British mobile network EE, 41 per cent of us shop online while in-store to compare bargains and get the best deal in a practice known as "showrooming".
The survey also found that almost three-quarters of shoppers said they preferred to browse products online rather than look around in store, while 79 per cent say they do their research online before shopping in-store.
According to the Irish Examiner, Jeremy Spencer, EE’s head of corporate products said: “The practice of showrooming isn’t going away. It’s understandable that the threat of showrooming preys on retailers’ minds, particularly during such an important shopping season as Christmas.”
