People often assume that if a man or a woman commit adultery is because, the person they’re having their affair with, is more attractive that their spouse. Well one dating website's recent pole disproves this theory.
According to a survey carried out by Victoria Milan, a dating website for married couples looking to have a fling, asked their members a list of questions about the people they cheat on their wife or husband with.
4,000 people completed the survey, the majority admitting that they have an affair with someone less attractive than their significant other, however claim they are better listeners. Here are some of the surprising answers and statistics.
The Husbands on the ‘other woman’...

30% have had mistresses younger than their current partners.
26% found their mistresses are more interesting.
25% said their mistresses are in better shape.
However, the men have stated that these ‘other women’ are more caring, better listeners, and more passionate i.e. have more sex, than the ladies they're in relationships with.

60% said their lovers was less attractive than their partner.
50% said their toy-boys are in better shape.
89.6% indicated that the other man makes them feel more appreciated than their significant other.
Similar to the men, women admitted that the males they have an affair with are better listeners and more passionate in bed.
According to Cosmpolitan, the site's founder, Sigurd Vedal, explained why these results and statistics were accurate.
“The tired old idea that cheaters just want a pretty young thing to show off is just not true anymore, if it ever was," he said.
"In fact, it is our experience at Victoria Milan that men turn to affairs to fulfill their emotional desires, not some shallow desire for good looks or a hot body.”
