2. Mexican Spiced Hot Chocolate
What is it? Our favourite chocolatey drink with a spicy twist.
Add two cups milk, 1/4 cup of cocoa powder, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. a pinch of nutmeg and cayenne to a medium saucepan. Heat until simmering, remove and serve with marshmallows and cinnamon sticks.
3. Herbal Teas
What is it? Any beverage made from the infusion of herbs or spices in hot water.
From peppermint and catnip to hibiscus and chamomile, the possibilities are endless when it comes to herbal teas. Explore and experiment until you find the one that suits your tea palette.
4. Matcha Latte
What is it? Matcha is a fine powder made up of 100 per cent natural green tea leaves.
With a whopping 137 times the anti-oxidants of green tea, this is the perfect drink to energise the body while a t the same time calm and focus the mind. Pop a spoonful of the powder in a bowl, pour in boiling water and heated milk and beat with a match brush (available in health stores) until it froths.
5. Ginger Tea With Lemon And Honey
What is it? A revitalising drink when you're not feeling your best.
Each of the ingredient contain their own natural medicinal qualities and when put together, create a calming mixture to help ease old and flu symptoms and boost the immune system.
