Skylar is standing by his principles and refusing to take the handbag off.
He explained to local television station KCTV: “It expresses myself and I think everyone else can wear it so I can wear it as well.”
Skylar wasn’t the only one who was annoyed about his school’s reaction. His mother Leslie Willis said she actually called Anderson County Senior-Junior School, Kansas, to discuss the matter.
She said: “I was a little furious so I called the school just to re-verify the story and it was that he refused to take off the Vera Bradley bag and nothing more to it.”
