A teenager has received a torrent of abuse after posting the above photograph of herself at Auschwitz on Twitter.
In the picture, uploaded last month, the girl can be seen smiling as she stands in the grounds of the concentration camp. She captioned it: “Selfie in the Auschwitz Concentration Camp”.
After going viral over the weekend, ‘Princess Breanna’ (as she is known on Twitter) got quite a few negative responses including death threats.
She then defended herself, saying that she had studied the history of Auschwitz with her father who sadly passed away last year.
They had apparently planned to visit the camp one day and that is the reason she said she was smiling, because she made the trip and it reminded her of her dad.
