Times are tough, eh? It’s hard enough these days to get a chocolate bar for a euro. But not back in the old days. Oh no. We may have had jam jars for cups but we were happy out with these treats for 10p. 10. Super Hoopers We have had a lot of discussions about these in the office because apparently they were hard enough to get a hold of around the Dublin area. Not in the West! We lived on these things... With Cadet lemonade! Delicious 9. Candy Sticks... Better known as Sweet Cigarettes Weren't we so cool? Hanging around school yards pretending we were smoking... Where did these go?   8. Chomp We know they are still around but remember when they were 10p? 10p! What a bargain.   7. Hot Lips Hot Lips were another crisp favourite when we were at school. Perri still sell these gems, but not in the same futuristic pink packet and certainly not for ten of your pennies...   6. Push Pops We might be slightly misleading you here as Push Pops were the upper end of cheap sweets at a whopping 25p! But remember how popular these were? Don't push me! Push a push pop! Genius advertising. Genius   5. Pink Panther Bars We're going to start a campaign to get these brought back. Just delicious. 4. Refresher Bars You can still get them in most shops in penny sweet forms but god, Refreshers were brilliant. Sherbet and everything...   3. Animal Bars Some of our moms used to stick these in our lunch boxes for a Friday treat! Jamie Oliver wouldn't be very happy with that...   2. Klipso and Macaroon Bar These Caffrey classics are entering some sort of Renaissance period, for some reason after what seemed a lengthy absence they're back on shop shelves.
