Terminally ill children share their happiest moments in life

This is absolutely heartbreaking.

Laura Holland

This is absolutely heartbreaking.

A doctor in South Africa has given an insight into the lives of terminally ill children, and what they cherish in life. He shared some examples of answers he was given by his patients he is currently treating and it is incredibly sad.

Taking to Twitter, he said, “For an assignment, I asked some of my terminal paediatric palliative care patients what they had enjoyed in life, and what gave it meaning. Kids can be so wise, y’know. Here are some of the responses.”

He then went on to do a 12-part thread about the answers they gave, focusing on what they value in life, what they love the most, and what aspects of life they appreciate.

It’s a tough but worthwhile read.
