According to reports, a member of the Gardaí stood beside the bees until the beekeeper arrived. People around the city took to Twitter and it sounds like it was dealt with pretty efficiently.

The bees were safely removed and our favourite pun from the event has to be this one from Twitter user Orlaith Delargy.
