Mrs Brown’s Boys star Brendan O’Carroll proved himself to be an absolute legend earlier today when he came to the rescue of two Irish J1 students.
Dylan Hennessy and his girlfriend Aoife had just arrived in Orlando when their room was robbed, with their passports, money and credit cards among the items stolen.
Dylan’s mother Fiona decided to contact RTÉ Radio One’s Liveline, which had thankfully recovered from technical blip earlier this week, to highlight their plight and appeal to anyone Irish in the area who might be able to lend a hand.
Comedian O’Carroll heard the story and leapt to action in true Irish mammy fashion, contacting the show to say that he would have someone at the hotel “within an hour” with some money to help the stricken pair.
He has since been commended for his actions on Twitter, with commenters hailing him ‘one of the best people alive’.
