The Average Annual Wage Of A Top Blogger Has Made Us A Little Bit Sick

Blogging is definitely no longer just a hobby. 

Although it may seem like a just a bit of fun, blogging and instagramming is a SERIOUS business and has seen a huge financial leap in the last year and half.

According to WWD, a typical sponsored Instagram post can cost anywhere between $5,000 and $25,000 – more than five times the going rate in 2014.

Chiara Ferragni made over $7 million in footwear sales alone last year. 

This, along with blog mentions, personal appearances and other corporate partnerships means that a top blogger is earning anywhere between $1 million and $3 million per year.

However, this is by no mean a cap.

According to the site, last year, Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad earned a whopping $7.5 million in footwear sales ALONE.

And brands’ investments pay off.

In 2014 Rachel Parcell of Pink Peonies apparently drove $1 million in sales to Nordstrom, and ShopStyle Collective saw a $6 million in sales off the back of bloggers alone.
