The research, carried out by laya life, found that paying off the mortgage and dying debt-free (30%) rank high on the bucket list of Irish parents who are keen to relieve their spouse and kids of any financial burden upon their death. Securing income for retirement and providing for their kids is a major consideration with one in two (53%) of parents currently holding some level of life insurance.
