It could be the end of the road for The Only Way is Essex as the show is reportedly “falling apart” according to sources.
The popular TV show has taken a number of knocks over recent series with some of their major stars leaving such as Amy Childs, Marky Wright and Joey Essex while James Argent was recently suspended by producers.
According to reports the series is now “in turmoil” and that producers at ITVbe are considering replacing it with another show.
“The show is falling apart behind the scenes,” a source told Star Magazine. “Producers realise it’s losing its edge, and with so many key cast members absent, it’s really suffering.”
Reports state that ratings for the show have been dropping over this series despite the fact that the producers have flown the stars out to a variety of different locations and there has been a number of new romances.
“Although several new characters were introduced in the last series, producers know it takes time for viewers to get to know them,” the source continued. “They fear fans will lose interest.”
