The worldwide celebrations and commemorations for International Women's Day are well underway, and Google has done a brilliant job with the latest doodle.
It's an acknowledgment of the potential of young women all over the globe. The crew created the doodle by asking participants to complete the sentence: “One day I will…”, and they have also created a series of great videos:
" The aspirations we heard were as varied as the women and girls who shared them, from the very personal—swim with pigs in the Bahamas—to the very global—give a voice to those who can’t speak—and everything in between. When it was done, we found that our own “One day I will…”s had grown bigger and richer, inspired by the women we had met."
In honour of IWD, the crew that worked on the videos were all-female for the majority of filming, and the music was composed by Merril Garbus of tUnE-yArDs.
Google are asking women to share their dreams with the #OneDayIWill on Twitter, to help create an inspiring environment for women online.
