Has your partner ever forgotten your anniversary? Or perhaps he didn’t notice the last time you got your hair done? Well you might want to tell him about the Man App then… or, more to the point, you might like to know why his forgetful ways could suddenly change!
The 89c telephone app is designed to save men from the dreaded doghouse by reminding them of important occasions and offering advice on how to redeem themselves if they do something wrong.
Having found out that over a third of women give their other halves the silent treatment at least once every month, Mayo Man Cillian O Mongain decided to develop the app.

The app is intended to help men in their relationships.
Speaking about how he came up with the idea, Cillian said that his friend gave him the inspiration: “We were on a surfing holiday and he’d just been dumped. He couldn’t figure out at all why it had happened.
“So we were all just laughing and joking saying that there needs to be a step-by-step guide on how to be a partner. It just went from there really… Hopefully it’ll save a few relationships,” he told the Irish Daily Mirror.
As well as reminding men of birthdays and anniversaries, the clever app also has a ‘Doghouse’ function which makes suggestions as to why they might find themselves in your bad books including forgetting to compliment you on your hair.
It also gives them ideas as to how to win you around again including gifts and unplanned coffee dates.
So if you find that your usually absent-minded man is suddenly more organised than you, you might want to check that phone of his. Then again, if you’re happy with the compliments and treats he is giving you, keep quiet!
