The legendary collection of photographs called ‘Humans of New York’ made headlines worldwide this weekend due to one stunning picture.

The collection, snapped by photographer Brandon Stanton captured the attention of people everywhere once more, when the above picture of a young teenager was posted.

“I’m homosexual and I’m afraid about what my future will be and that people won’t like me.”

The caption alongside the snap read: “I’m homosexual and I’m afraid what my future will be and that people won’t like me.”

The post was reportedly removed from Facebook, but has since been reposted to the page and has over half a million likes and almost 50,000 shares.

Messages of support for the young teen have been flooding in on social media, including the above message from US Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton.

The post comes just one week after same-sex marriage was legalised in the States.
