Next is Tesco with 24.5 percent and Dunnes Stores follows closely with 24.1 percent.
In fourth place is Lidl with 8 percent of the market and Aldi is right behind with 7.9 percent.
The remaining 10.5 percent is commandeered by 'other outlets' but no names were given.
The survey also found that Dunnes Stores improved the most when it comes to sales as figures were up 5.1 percent on 2015.
