According to reports today, a man living in the United Arab Emirates has divorced his wife after seeing her for the first time without any makeup.
Let’s all just take a minute and let that sink in.
It seems so ridiculous that it can’t be true but numerous news sites have reported that the man, aged 34 and of Arab nationality, ended their marriage just days after they wed.
The story came to light after the psychologist, Dr. Abdul Aziz Asaf, who counselled the distraught woman spoke to Gulf News.
It seems the bride and groom visited Al Mamzar Beach near Sharjah and when the woman’s cosmetics washed off, things turned nasty.
Apparently, the man said that his 28-year-old wife had ‘deceived’ him by wearing so much makeup and said she looked very different without it.
Gulf News reports that they were engaged for six months and it seems he had never seen his partner without makeup during that time.
Dr Abdul Aziz Asaf said:
“The groom immediately divorced his bride and refused any attempt to reunite them again”.
So there you have it, probably the most absurd thing you’ll read today. God love her.
