Would you ever wear the same clothes as your other half? Yeah, we thought that would be your reaction. However, according to one loved-up couple, matching your outfits is the secret to keeping your marriage happy and healthy.
The Huffington Post reports that Donald and Nancy Featherstone from Massachusetts have been dressing alike for 32 out of their 36 years of marriage.
But why on earth do they do it?
“First and foremost, it’s fun!” said Nancy, speaking to the New York Times back in 1997.
“We like it! But it’s also the clearest sign we can give that we’re together. For Donald and me, that’s our deal,” she added.

The couple like their clothes to reflect that they're "together"
Donald is the man responsible for inventing those pink lawn flamingos that you occasionally see in gardens in America. His simple invention ended up making him an absolute fortune, but according to Donald, his real fortune came when he married Nancy in 1976.

Nancy makes all of their outfits herself
“We are always together, and that’s the only way we like to be,” he said.
The couple started dressing alike in 1980. They were inspired by a trend that was popular when Nancy was in high school. Nancy sews all of the couples outfit and they have more than 600 lookalike outfits.

Whoever gets to the closet first gets to pick the outfit for the day ahead
So, we have one burning question: who gets to decide what outfit they wear on any given day?
“The one that gets to the closet first,” said Donald.
