The sexiest accent in the world has been revealed and it’s from within Ireland

You can't beat the luck of the Irish... and if our accents have anything to do with it, we have a BIG chance of getting lucky.

Well, at least those from Northern Ireland do, as the Northy accent has been voted the sexiest accent in the world, according to a recent poll. According to Irishnews.com, ASDA surveyed more than 2,000 people across Britain and found that 17 per cent said they favoured the Northern Irish accent, closely followed by the Scottish accent which received 15 per cent of the vote. On the other end of the scale, the Essex accent was preferred by one per cent of voters, closely followed by a Manchester lilt. The news comes after the Irish were  robbed stripped of their crown as the sexiest accent in the world according to the Time Out Global Dating Survey. We dropped from the top ranking to the third with the British and American accent coming in at 1st and 2nd respectively. It's hard at the top.
