According to Irishnews.com, ASDA surveyed more than 2,000 people across Britain and found that 17 per cent said they favoured the Northern Irish accent, closely followed by the Scottish accent which received 15 per cent of the vote.
On the other end of the scale, the Essex accent was preferred by one per cent of voters, closely followed by a Manchester lilt.
