Grace’s Choice: Grandfather's Moving Letter To Daughter After She Disowns Her Gay Son
Grace says: This was an easy choice, without doubt my favourite story of the week was the touching letter composed by an endearing Grandfather. The letter addressed to his daughter, conveyed his disappointment and disgust at her actions, after throwing her young son out off the family home, disowning him for revealing he was gay.
The letter is passionate and powerful, and we just wish there were a lot more Grandfathers like this one. Hero.

Michelle’s Choice: Marty Raises the Banner
Michelle says: Croker last Saturday was one of the most enjoyable days of my life. In between the match and the obligatory Coppers visit, we headed home to watch The Sunday Game - the highlight of which was this clip of another legendary Clare man, Marty Morrissey, joining the Banner boys in the dressing room for a rousing rendition of My Lovely Rose of Clare. Úna’s Choice: Getting Your Geek On
Úna says: I was delighted when I saw that the official trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug was released this year. As a diehard LOTR and general Tolkein fan, I’m very excited about the second instalment of the Peter Jackson trilogy!
Jackson’s movies may be long but he really does try his best to add in all the important details from the book which is something I feel that many directors let slide – I’m looking at you Marc Foster.
