One police force have been spreading Christmas cheer this festive season by giving people a treat when they pull them over.
The Lowell Police Department in Massachusetts surprised a number of motorists by pulling them over for what they thought were traffic violations but instead, gave them a big surprise instead.
The project saw the police officers surprise motorists with some massive Christmas presents as part of the Uplift Someone Challenge.
“I was a little nervous as to how this was going to go,” said Scot VanSolkema the local officer said. “Because ordinary people don’t like getting pulled over by the police,” he said to woodtv.com.
“It was good to know that we were helping people out, now maybe people didn’t really need these things, but it was good to give them that Christmas magic.”
