Santa came to the rescue for one man in Australia over the weekend as he helped to safe the man’s life after he was trapped in a house fire.
Nick Carey was dressed up as Santa while working with the New South Wales (NSW) Fire and Rescue brigade but instead of delivering presents on Saturday afternoon, he instead delivered life-saving CPR to the 20-year-old man who had been pulled from the burning house.
It is reported that the man was unconscious and suffering from smoke inhalation at the house in Hunter Valley. According to reports, thanks to the quick-acting fire crew the young man was saved.
“I think the beard and the hat came off when we started the resuscitation,” Santa (Nick) told the Daily Telegraph. “It’s definitely the weirdest and most awkward situation I’ve found myself in.”
“It’s the ultimate Christmas present anyone could ever get,” said neighbour Michael Johnson.
