The Ultimate Running Playlist To Keep You Moving This Summer!

What's your favourite running song?

Her

Snazzy new workout gear? In our wardrobes. The perfect trainers? We’ve finally found them. Runkeeper? Downloaded. The only thing missing? A totally jam-tastic running playlist.

Here at Her.ie, we’ve signed up to this year’s Breast Cancer Ireland Great Pink Run sponsored by Avonmore Slimline milk. That means that all summer long we’re hitting the parks, pavements and running tracks in our areas to build up to that elusive 10K.

Whether you’re aiming for a 10K or working towards completing your very first 5K (we bow down to you), having a great set of running tunes at your disposal is a must.

Check out a selection of some of our favourite tunes we’re running to this summer…

1. Can’t Stop, Red Hot Chilli Peppers

You can’t go wrong with the Chillies; they never let us down. A great rock song to kick off any run.

2. 212 – Azealia Banks ft. Lazy Jay

It’s impossible not to bop along to this catchy tune. Just what we need when we’re pounding the pavement.

3. King, Years and Years

This song has the power to drive us forward no matter how exhausted we’re feeling. One of the anthems of summer 2015. On the dance floor and on the running field.

4. Lose Yourself, Eminem

When you start feeling like you just can’t go on, there’s only one person to call on. On your iPod. That person is Marshall Mathers.

5. Paper Planes, M.I.A.

Transport yourself to faraway lands with this absolute belter of a tune from the one and only M.I.A.

6. Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough, Michael Jackson

The King of Pop’s funky falsetto is guaranteed to put a spring in your step during kilometre four or five.

7. Roar, Katy Perry

This empowerment anthem is already two years old (how time flies), but it remains our go-to song on those days when we need an extra push to get going.

8. Since U Been Gone, Kelly Clarkson

Another classic hit that provides the perfect motivation on those evenings when we need an extra boost. Kelly, we love you and your soaring vocals.

9. Survivor, Destiny’s Child

When the going gets tough we like to call on three of our favourite ladies to help pick us up on the home stretch.

10. I Will Wait, Mumford and Son

Probably not the first song you’d think to listen to on a run, but trust us, it’s highly effective. Add it to your own playlist and you’ll see for yourself!

11. Come and Get It, Selena Gomez

We’re big Selena fans and we’re still OBSESSED with this song. Take a listen below. Na, na, na, na….

12. Don’t Stop Me Now, Queen

If we could include every single Queen song ever recorded on this list, we would. But we can’t. So we’ve chosen our favourite. Make sure it’s on your playlist!
