Today FM were running a competition ‘How Much Love Have You Got In the Tank’ on air today, where listeners were asked to nominate themselves for a chance to win a €1,000 voucher.
Dubliner Claire Simpson from Donaghmede decided to enter the competition, telling The Phil Cawley Show why herself and her partner should win the prize via text:
‘Hi Phil happy Valentine’s Day! Myself and himself, Sean, would love to play the game this is our 9th valentines together so I was hoping for a "special" present this morning but it doesn’t look like it now although we are going out for something to eat later an as it’s a leap year maybe I should go for it haha’
So when the show’s producers rang Claire back, they asked her to consider popping the question herself – seeing as it is a leap year…
