The mixed reaction to the news that Victoria Beckham’s getting an OBE

Decidedly Grinch-like behaviour.

Today, it was announced that Victoria Beckham is to be awarded an OBE, Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire FYI, for her services in charity and fashion. Despite the fact that Victoria has had a hugely successful career, people are still suggesting she's not worthy of this plaudit. She rose to fame as a member of a hugely successful pop group, now shows her fashion designs at highly competitive New York Fashion Week twice a year and does a huge amount for charity through her role as a goodwill ambassador for UNAIDS. This doesn't qualify as reason enough for an OBE in some people's opinions, as you can see below.

Thankfully, others are of the opinion that VB is deserving of the award and similarly we say, more power to her.
