The iPhone is a pretty wonderful tech tool and is always turning up random features we didn't know existed: from this battery saving trick to an easier way to send photos. That said, we're not quite sure how to feel about the fact that there's a hidden menu that stores information on the places you have visited most. It stands to reason that home is pretty high at the top of the list which basically means your iPhone can tell where you live. Not something you want if your phone goes missing or gets stolen but the good news is you can disable the feature. Open Settings, then go to Privacy, then Location Services. Once you're in this menu, select the System Services menu and by scrolling down you'll come across the Frequent Locations menu. Once you access this, you'll be able to see all of the places you visit on a regular basis and you can turn the feature off, if you so wish. The feature hid the headlines this week after a video explaining it went viral and we have Melody Puckett to thank for alerting us to what it entails. In a post accompanying the video, she wrote: "Important: there’s a privacy setting on your iPhone that if not turned off, shows a map with dates and times of your frequent locations, including your home. "I made a quick video showing what it shows and how to turn it off. It’s frightening to think that someone with bad intentions could find your home and work, and know what times you are usually there. "Shame on Apple. Feel free to share with friend".
