There’s A Thief On The Cobbles! Corrie Bosses Look To Actors As Hundreds Of Pounds Worth Of Stuff Goes Missing

Someone’s been stealing expensive makeup and, no, this is not the beginning of a clichéd soap storyline…

Coronation Street bosses are looking for a thief on the cobbles, the Irish Sun reports, as hundreds of pounds worth of makeup has been stolen from the soap's wardrobe department.

Members of the cast are not above suspicion either, as the top of the range cosmetics have been taken from the dressing rooms at the Manchester studios, a place only certain people have access to.

A source said: “A couple of weeks ago some of the cosmetics girls noticed a really expensive piece of eye make-up had gone missing. They didn’t report it because there was a chance they had mislaid it.”

It wasn't long before two more expensive eyeshadows went missing...

“Senior figures on the show have been trying to do some detective work,” the source continued.

“Quite a lot of people have access to the dressing room area, including the actors and actresses, so there are a lot of potential suspects.

“Three pieces of eye make-up may not sound like much, but Corrie only uses the best so it amounts to several hundred pounds worth.”

The ITV bosses have decided not to call the police yet, but to try and figure out the culprit by themselves…
