All is not lost for all you fans of Mrs Brown’s Boys as Brendan O’Carroll has stated that “D’Mammy will be back.”
Fans were left dismayed recently when it was suggested that there would not be another series of the show, but Brendan has revealed that although he’s not sure if it will be a fourth series or a sequel to D’Movie, Mrs Brown will be back.
“It’s between the two. You’ve Universal saying ‘We want a movie’ and then you’ve BBC saying ‘We want another series’,” he said. “We’re hoping to come up with some sort of compromise.
“We’ll do one or the other. You can’t do both, it’s exhausting. A movie is a year of your life. Not that it’s easy doing a series but you’ve the support around you.”
He added that he had no plans to kill off the woman who has made him so successful.
“Yeah, that’s what I do, spend 20 years building something up and as soon as it gets successful, I stop,” he told the Irish Mirror. “The success of Mrs. Brown has baffled me as much as anyone.”
He also revealed he has plans for other projects in the coming months.
