There’s some not-so-great news for GAA fans going to Electric Picnic this weekend

The All Ireland Final conundrum.

Just one more day to go before Electric Picnic MAYHEM kicks off (and those of us not going start to hide those friends attending from our Facebook news feeds).

Those who are descending on Stradbally have been planning for weeks; checking the weather reports religiously; and lapping up every titbit of information that has emerged about the festival.

But for many sport-mad ticket holders, one question remained unanswered: would the All Ireland Hurling final between Kilkenny and Tipperary be shown on a big screen anywhere on the site?

Well, someone posed that very question on the official EP Facebook page yesterday, and the organisers reply, alas, was “no”.

But all is not lost GAA-heads!

A spokesperson for the festival told Her.ie: “Weekend ticket holders can leave the grounds and watch it in [a pub] in Stradbally. Puball Gaeilge  [the Irish language tent at Electric Picnic] might show it but it is VERY small there!”

You never know what might happen on the day; past EP revellers are of the opinion that the match will end up being shown in some way or another.

Failing that, there’s always the RTE app.
