There’s said to be some big X Factor news being announced in the next 24 hours as it looks like one of the judges for the new series has been confirmed.
According to The Sun, Nick Grimshaw has signed a contract with Simon Cowell to become a judge on this year’s panel and he will reportedly be officially unveiled as the new judge in the next 24 hours.
Nick has reportedly signed a contract with the show.
The radio DJ has been linked to the role for a number of weeks now, and is said to be replacing Louis Walsh.
According to a source who spoke to the publication, it would take a “massive curveball to mess up the deal”.
There’s said to be BIG changes on this year’s panel.
Meanwhile speculation is still rife that Mel B will not be returning to the show this year and that Simon is in fact chasing Rita Ora for the position.
Simon is said to have been impressed with Rita on The Voice UK, and it has been rumoured that she is considering the role on The X Factor.
Rita is rumoured to be in line for a spot on the show.
Filming of the arena auditions will begin on July 6th and we’ve no doubt Simon will keep a trick or two up his sleeve for that big day.
