We all know we love our mammy, but it’s rare we think about how easy or hard it might be for them on a day to day basis.
From getting the basic healthcare it takes to deliver a healthy baby into the world, to the post-natal care experienced by new mothers, unfortunately being a European country doesn’t always guarantee a safe process.
Save the Children’s 16th annual State of the World’s Mothers report ranked the best countries in the world to be a mother, assessing risk of maternal death and labour care.
Topping the poll was Norway, Finland and Iceland, while Ireland just made it into the list at number 22…
