These Are The Top Ten Best Paid Childhood Chores

But was it even worth it?

Megan Cassidy

While chores were the bane of any child’s existence, if you had a good little business head on you, you could make a handy enough buck.

In fact, new research has revealed that the average British child will receive over £5,000 in pocket money over the course of their childhood for helping out with spring cleaning chores.

A study of parents with children aged 3 to 16, part of the Dance Your Place Clean campaign from Flash and Viakal revealed that parents are forking out roughly £400 a year to EACH child for helping with chores.

Not all chores are made equally though, and some tend to pay a lot better than others. (You can’t put a price on having a LIFE, though can you?!)

The following list proves that the more soul-destroying a chore, the fatter the paycheck.

Behold, the top ten best paid chores, and the average wage for completing each.
