“They Lick My Tears When I Cry!” Meet Chantal Banks, The Woman Who Is Obsessed With Her Pet Rats

Does the thought of seeing a rat make your skin crawl? If so, you may not want to watch the above video. Why? Well, it features a woman who is a self-confessed “rat junkie.”

The Huffington Post reports that Chantal Banks is a woman who has 19 pet rats and is so obsessed with them, that she chose them over staying with her husband.

Chantal features on a programme in the States called My Crazy Obsession and since this clip was leaked online, thousands of people have watched it and questioned just why on earth she loves rats so much.

According to Chantal, her rats are beautiful and “smell like nachos.” Nice, right? Smelling like food isn’t the only benefit of keeping rats, says Chantal.

“My rats don’t judge me. They love me for who I am. When I cry, they lick my tears,” she says.

We don’t know about you but we’d rather get a tissue to wipe away our tears. Shudder.
