It’s finally Friday and if your week seems like it’s never going to end, this might be of interest.
The Central Statistics Office has discovered that the average working week for full-time employees has grown by 50 minutes over the last year, with the majority of workers now putting in 40.3 hours every week.
The data, published in the Irish Times, also showed that those working in agriculture, forestry and fishing do the most hours, with an average week of over 50 hours.
Those who are self-employed, work in management or are employed in skilled trades were also on the higher end of the list, compared to those in sales, administration and leisure services who typically worked under 30 hours per week.
