Adam Galinsky and Maurice Schweitzer are the authors of Friend and Foe – an examination of leadership.
As part of their research, the pair devised this simple test as a means to determine how power affects people’s behaviour.
Here’s the test.
Draw the letter E with your finger on your forehead.
Finished?
If you drew the E backwards so that only you can read it, you are a “self-focused” leader.
If you drew it so that others can read it, you are more likely to follow.
