Most of Ireland are livid for how Michael Conlon was treated at the Olympics.

He was robbed of a medal after the judges declared that his opponent, Russia’s Vladimir Nikitin, the winner in the quarter-final of the men’s bantamweight 56kg.

Michael himself has spoken out about the decision and said that he will never fight IABA again.

Since then people have been praising Michael and agreeing with him on the points he made but one person went above and beyond to make sure Michael got the credit he deserves.

Finn McManus, a five-year-old from Dublin, wrote him a letter and offered him one of his own gold medals he had won in school. He was so determined to write a letter to Michael that he asked his older sister who is nine to write it for him.

His aunt Marie Kirk shared an image of the letter on Facebook which read:

“Hi Michael, My name is Finn McManus and I am five years old. I saw your fight in Rio and you should have won because you are the best boxer in the world. I want you to have my school medal because you are a winner. I hope you like it, from Finn.”
