This American Airlines Rule Regarding Flight Attendants’ Body Hair Is Just Bizarre

Now THAT's attention to detail. Did you ever hear the likes?!

We all know that part of a flight attendant’s job description is to look presentable.

But this goes far beyond breath mints and a face-lift-tight bun.

Cosmopolitan recently listed some bizarre airline requirements when it comes to their staff’s grooming.

huh

We were put out but not entirely surprised that some airlines have specific body weight requirements and rules about applying makeup in front of customers.

But one particular body hair rule courtesy of American Airlines has really gotten our goat.

According to the publication, once an attendant is hired, “noticeable hair in nostrils and in/on ears or underarms must be cut or otherwise removed.”

First of all, how dare they tell someone to “cut” their underarm hair if that is not their choice.

Second of all, NOSTRIL HAIR?! Really?

Because nothing ruins a flight like the attendant’s hairy nose all up in your grill.

We say free the nose hairs!
