This county councillor has ticked off a LOT of dogowners

People are hitting the woof...

Is he barking mad?

The dog is man’s best friend and it’s hard to deny that they mean a lot to us women too.

Some dog owners are fiercely protective of their dogs, almost treating them as their children – clothing them, feeding them, teaching them how to dance or roll over.

Dogs are indeed an important aspect of many people’s lives and perhaps that’s what one Irish county councillor should’ve kept in mind before his latest Facebook post.

Fine Gael councillor for Meath County Council, Alan Tobin, shared a picture of signs in his local park that he ordered to be installed.

The picture shows the list of dogs that are regarded as ‘dangerous breeds’ including the German Shepherd, the Dobermann and the English Bull Terrier which are all extremely popular dogs.

Tobin expressed his shock at people still entertaining these breeds in their homes

“It still amazes me that some people think these dogs are ideal family pets.”

People were outraged at his suggestion that their breed of dogs were ‘dangerous’. The responses from many range from furious to downright hilarious. Woof woof!

Yikes! Councillor Tobin has not posted since the offending status but we’re sure it won’t be long before the signs are taken down.
