This Dad’s ‘Elf On The Shelf’ Photos Have Just Made Christmas

We need to meet this man.

Cathy Donohue

This Canadian Dad has taken the ‘Elf on the Shelf’ tradition to a whole new level and it’s all kinds of amazing.

‘Elf on the shelf’ originated with a 2005 American children’s book explaining how Santa’s elves are in the know when it comes to finding the ‘naughty and nice’ children each Christmas.

You can buy an Elf on the Shelf toy and many parents use this as a way of encouraging their children to behave in the run-up to Santa’s arrival.

However, Joe Wynberg decided to go one step further and dressed up as an elf and the pictures are absolutely fantastic.

FLE is out of control! I need to find my receipt. Couldn’t handle those advent calendars he ate last night. Today is the second after all!

His wife, Megan Wynberg uploaded the photos to Facebook and we can’t even deal. What a guy.

She wrote alongside the photos: “So we finally caved and decided to do the “Elf on the Shelf” thing. The kids are going to be so surprised!

“We named our elf FLE and he will be in some pretty precarious spots over the next 24 days! Enjoy”.

I brought in re-enforcement to get FLE the “Elf on the Shelf” under control.

I think FLE is pretty upset about last night and is seeking revenge against those responsible for duck taping him to the wall.
