“This Is a Big Payoff” – Good Deed Reunites Homeless Man With His Family

We doubt Billy Ray Harris predicted that his good deed would bring him so much joy but they do say that one good turn deserves another. Although to be fair in this case one good turn has resulted in many more.

Back in February homeless Billy Ray made the headlines when he returned Sarah Darling’s engagement ring to her after she dropped it into his change cup by accident.

To say thank you she and her fiancé then set up a fund which ended up raising a lot more money than expected. As if $180,000 wasn’t enough Billy Ray has now been given an even greater reward in the form of his family.

According to reports Billy Ray, who was appearing on a television show with the couple, was surprised when his four siblings walked onto the set after 16 years apart. It seems his younger sister Robin got in touch when she heard what he had done.

 

He has just been reunited with his family after 16 years.

And while it wasn’t totally out of the blue, as they had planned to have a family reunion in the summer, it still puts a smile on our and Billy Ray’s faces. He said: “This is a big payoff. Got it all right here now.”
