The average age for Irish men and women to tie the knot has been revealed

It's currently the highest it's ever been.

The age at which you decide to get married is different for everyone as it is a deeply personal decision.

That said, figures complied by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), compiled the average age of brides and grooms in Ireland.

Spotted on JOE.ie, the current average for men is 35.3 years and for women, 33.2 years.

The research also looked at the most popular month for getting married in Ireland, with August coming out on top with 13 percent.

January trailed way behind in last place, 3.5 percent to be exact, and considering the typically cold weather, it’s not hard to see why.
