It's that time of year.
You're either back from a summer holiday, getting ready for one or you know, dreaming of one.
However, there are some timeframes that can prove difficult to book because they've been sold out or due to the fact that everyone wants to travel on that date and prices reach dizzying heights.
An interesting infographic published by Trivago has thrown up some interesting findings that shed some light on the travelling habits of Irish people.
Apparently, the peak search time is for the last week in July and it's no coincidence that prices rise considerably at this time.

JOE.ie, the survey also found that wifi is an absolute must for Irish people heading abroad with hotels the top choice for accommodation.
The most popular time to search for a break abroad is 9-10 on a Monday which is no major surprise as dreaming of sunnier climes is an ideal way to escape Monday gloom.
One surprising find was that holidaymakers stay for a duration of four days and to be honest, I would have thought a week is the standard option.
The average price people pay for a hotel room is £118 per night, which translates to about €140, which to be fair would add up if you were staying for longer than a week.
